You might be wondering how Emya Nordic came to be? And what inspired us to bring the ultimate Nordic essential for colder weather "the Coverall" to Australian kids. Well, it all started with us moving to Melbourne, experiencing the crazy weather here during those colder months and having a couple of babies.
Have you ever heard the saying, "if you don't like the weather in Melbourne, wait five minutes"? It's because this city has a reputation for experiencing all four seasons in one day! It's like Mother Nature can't decide what she wants to do.
One minute you might be strolling around, basking in the sun, and the next, you're dodging raindrops and hailstones, wondering how you ended up in the middle of a sudden downpour. Not to mention the extreme winds here.
But hey, it's all part of the fun, right? You get to experience the thrill of packing for every possible weather scenario, and you never know what adventure the day might bring. Well, we don't know about you, but we're not crazy about packing for every weather scenarios with kids when you already have so much to take with you from snacks to nappies and beyond. This is why we started the journey to design our ultimate baby romper for outdoor use for those colder months.
Melbourne's weather can be harsh, and clothing needs to be durable and able to withstand a variety of conditions. Our inspiration was to design a kids outdoor onesie that would be perfect and functional in the crazy Melbourne ever changing weather.
By choosing high-quality materials that are 100% breathable, water-resistant, and warm we wanted to ensure that kids are comfortable and protected from the elements, while not getting sweaty and hot during those gorgeous sunny days. In addition we felt kid's clothing should be easy to put on and take off, with zippers and snaps that are simple for little fingers to manage as well as for you to put on your little ones.
Melbourne is known for its vibrant street art, diverse music scene, and outdoor lifestyle. We wanted to incorporate these elements into our design with creating a simple and fashionable kids outdoor romper that comes in three unisex colours, easy to match with any colour shoes and hats.
